5. Thanks!
I'm not a professional, just a hobbyist. However, I was thinking of setting up a shop on CafePress to sell calendars, cards, etc. Do you think they would sell?

Here's a link to some of my other stuff. You can navigate the albums through the links at the top.

14. Absolutely!
I think they would sell. I checked your photo album. You have a ton of pictures and they're beautiful! I don't know anything about photography but I know what looks good and your pictures look very good. The pictures you have are the kind of photos I like to see on calendars, cards, etc.

6. They were a bonus.
I was just getting ready to leave when I noticed the color of the sky, so I walked until I could find a view. My tripod was in the car, so I just set the camera on the railing and used the timer so there wasn't any shake.

13. I wish I had a better zoom for that shot
I kept creeping closer and closer until I got to the water's edge. Since I had to use the digital zoom, I don't think I can get a good print out of that of any decent size.

38. My guess is the last one ended up smashed
in the street or somebody made a very lucky find. I had loaded a bunch of crap in the car, and as we were driving, starting searching the car for it and couldn't find it. It's never been seen since. :-(

I got off a number of shots, at a fairly close distance, before they decided to swim off.

31. Wow, beautiful pictures.
I like #10 the best - that's mostly because I like pictures of people and/or animals much more than pictures of flowers and scenes - just a personal preference. I like #10 better than #7 or #9 because I think it's a clearer picture.

But as someone who's tried to take pictures for years and failed, I think they are all beautiful.

32. Composition wise
I really like 7. The heron was staning in the middle of the shallows and the water was covered with algae and where there was water, the yellowing trees were reflected, giving in a really interesting quality.

Unfortunately, when you use the digital zoom rather than a telephoto lense (which I don't have), you get some graininess.

I haven't run any of these through Photoshop, so they aren't as good as they could be.

As far as pictures, I think the trick is to take a ton and you come up with a few good ones. With digital cameras, it makes it a lot less cost-prohibitive. And sometimes what you think worked doesn't when you upload it and vice versa.

33. Nothing like the Calumet Region in Autumn.
And someone with a camera who knows what they're doing.

The sunsets have been brilliant the last week or so, haven't they? I'm diggin' it.

39. At least the pollution is good for something
I wonder if there is a way to discern what toxic chemicals are in the clouds by the color of the sunsets?

41. I LOVE #7
From what I understand, it isn't that easy to get a Blue Heron to stand still for a photo. And.....against it's complementary colors as well!
It you do notecards of this, let me know!
They are all very nice-like your ducks in a row, too.
