I'm babysitting my mom...

She pulled a muscle in her back and saw the Dr today.

He gave her muscle relaxants and pain killers. On my advice she also took half a valium before going to bed. She also went to bed with a heating pad.

I just went in with a pen light to make sure she was OK, that the heating bad pad had been unplugged so she wouldn't get burned.

Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I woke her up. Bad, bad, bad me.

You'ld think I was sacrificing unbaptised babies to Satan. Maybe I should try that instead, it might get me a little more respect.

So I can truly sympathesize. However, I've lived with chronic nonstop pain for a decade now. I can't say I handle it well, but I've become very familiar with pain. So when people I care about are in pain.... it matters. Because I know.

It just hurts when trying to care for, to take care of someone you love. And your care is treated as an imposition. And perhaps it is and perhaps I'm wrong. But still.....


It got me thinking.... about love, care, misunderstanding.... and I was going to post about it. Wrong time, wrong place, but the right people to understand. So I didn't and I won't. I have your guys knowledge, wisdom, understanding and friendship without ever having to explain. Thanks.
