Yes, I've railed about Blogs before, and I still think blogs are largely a cry for attention, but this is much more of a community than signing up for yet another account on blogspot.com

Anyone can donate for five bucks, and MANY disruptors have.

My concern is people donating and getting their own journal, and then talking all sorts of shit about DU on DU's servers, then linking to their shit-talking on DUs own servers to other sites - and it will quickly become a mess.

I'd even go as far as saying that journals are limited to donating members who have over 5000 posts.

as well as Toons, photos for protests and posters tightly tied to campaigns, this is also a very practical feature. It will speed up finding and sharing this information quite a bit.

Perhaps it could cut down on the outrageous amounts of "I just got this email, help me reply" or "How do I reply to my co-worker who says" crap.

I mean, it's not crap, but it's flooding the boards by people who do ZERO research of their own.
