Yesterday I spilled a full cup of coffee on my laptop.

It's been drying out ever since and smells of french vanilla creamer. Damn it. Only a few months old.

The keys are quite sticky and the mouse pad doesn't seem to be working very well. Looks like I'm going to have to take it in for repair.

Sooo, I dug thru the closet and found my old desktop, which is what I'm typing on now. Dial up. Old school.

7. The Geek Squad is incompetent.

I just got my computer back from them. I took it in Sept 4. After they sent off the wrong computer in it's place, they finally got mine off after mailing me the wrong one. It was terrible. They're idiots. And basically they told me to shut up and deal with it. Until I emailed Best Buy corporate. They sent me a $100 gift card, but still. Geek Squad sucks. Good Luck.

8. I would try cleaning the keys with

a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. In other words, dip the Q-tip into the rubbing alcohol, gently swab around keys.

If this does not work, I definitely recommend a professional cleaning.

but I would definitely take it in to get it checked out and cleaned.

10. You're lucky it still works.

A glass of water spilled on mine and completely fried it. I lost everything I had on it. Had to get a new one :( I still haven't gotten everything back the way I had it before.
