KG's big DC adventure: a short pictoral essay

my trip starts off with a blow-out on I-4 outside of Orlando. changing a tire at 3AM, how fun is that?


Fri nite: party with some DUers at the Hawk & Dove in DC.


Sat morning I have to buy tires, so I miss meeting up with the DU contingent. so I just just hang out and watch the street theatre.





spent a lot of time walking around trying to find some familiar faces. my feets was hurting!


so, I just hung out and listened to some jams. Steve Earle, the Coup, Sweet Honey in the Rock. then headed back to my hotel.


the next day I got up and took a side trip through the Shannandoah mountains.


then I went home.

the end.

kinda bummed I missed meeting everyone on Sat. morn. it was pretty much my reason for driving 14 hours. :(

It was GREAT to meet you in person, KG! I don't know about you, but I was changed in a fundamental way by the protest in DC. Thank you so much for the little shot of memories. I especially love the Che painting. WOW.

I'm doing great, and I have an entire DAY of unplanned time for the 1st time in 2 months. And going out with my best friends to a Mexican restaraunt tonight. Til then, I'm trying not to read LBN or GD, because I've been dosing too hard on reality. Time for a break. And how are you, precious?
