For anyone interested in good new music...check this out
Okay, so I play in this band, and we are about to release a new record. The lead off song is called Disconnect, and it's about being completely fucking fed up with it all, and feeling like you're about to lose it.

I think it's a pretty cool song, and I just thought some other folks here might like to hear it. So, if you like British sounding psychedelic pop check it out, and tell me what you think.

Here's an mp3 of it: http://www.uhfweb.com/sounds/golden/Disconnect.mp3

If you like that, go to our website: http://www.uhfweb.com

Sorry if this is too much of a vanity post - I just thought people here might like it.

Mods: feel free to lock this if you need to.

1. It's a great song!
Just so you know, I'm not the target audience for this song. I'm 40 and a huge fan of Linkin Park and Godsmack plus lots of other rock over the last 30 years.

This really fits into the kind of rock I enjoy. The last minute and a half I was really loving the song.

Your band has a very unique sound and it's a good one, IMO. I love the riff and how it ended.

I wish you all the best of luck and I hope your album does well. I look forward to tracking your progress.

If this song is an indication of what's to come, I will definitely buy.

Good luck!

3. Thanks
I didn't really post it to try to get people to buy something. Everyone knows that no one buys music anymore! :)

Anyway, glad you like it.

4. More people are actually buying...
I quit illegal downloading almost a year ago. As much as I hate to give money to the record companies, the musicians still need to be compensated for the work they do.

Nice web site, BTW :)

14. I love buying records
I still feel excited everytime I buy a new record. Plus, if you really love an artist you should support them by either paying at Itunes or getting the cd. "Target" has great prices personally. I mostly go there for all my music needs. Every once in a while FYE and BestBuy.

5. Funny you say that about the lounge.
Tried it in the lounge, and it sank in about two minutes. Everyone was obsessed with asking each other whether or not they should be posting about various things. LOL! Just thought I'd give it a shot here.

I'll check out your friend's band.

8. Man, I LIKE this sound!
Serious overtones of British and Brit-influenced bands of the late '60s. Yeah!

Don't know if you guys need the help, but I'm PMing your site to a friend who's a rock journalist in Vancouver, BC.

10. Hey, thanks!
We can use all the help we can get! I We're just four guys writing, producing, recording, and releasing ourselves. Couldn't be more DIY - do our own design, website and booking too. We appreciate the hookup for sure!

15. Everything appears very professional though
There is this really popular band from north Georgia that does everything themselves and are EXTREMELY well known and popular and have deals and things like that. Sometimes you don't need an label. Here is their website: http://www.theunsatisfied.com/

Also for other indie bands from my area check out http://ciamusic.com/52.html

20. Well...
I'm PMing with her right now, and she's in panic mode with a book she's writing about A Very Famous Bad-Boy Rock Star. Says she's doing nothing else for the next two months. (I thought she'd be finished with that sucker by now. Deadline was like four months ago.)

I did give her the link, though. Hey, good luck. You guys have something solid there.

I really love it! Thank you for sharing it with us. The band is very talented. My feet were even tapping along. LOL. And this song is way much better than that freeper one. LOL. You should be proud of your band Eeyore! I hope to be able to buy y'alls cd's at the local FYE.

I have an overnight radio show on my internet station:

And I'd love to play this on the show; is that do-able? I've played a number of DUers' music on it, and I'd be happy to add yours. PM me and we'll go from there..

19. i purchased the CD while listening to the cut, definitely my era...
Edited on Sat Oct-01-05 01:34 AM by sam sarrha
I really like the flow and rhythm, great harmony lines.. I played in Orchestras for 14 years, they finally discovered i couldn't read music and kicked me out  however i was second chair second section.. of 3. i played a lot of harmony.

sence you are in the business and very good at it too, maybe you could help me with something...

i got totally involved with Enigma's Music.. I am autistic, Aspergers Syndrome and i have Synesthesia.. playing in the middle of a large Orchestra was like taking LSD. Enigma really does something other bands haven't for me.. it is a physical, visual and emotional tapestry for me. are there any groups around that do their sort of "Thing".
are they still a band, or have they moved on individually.. or are they just selling their work in Europe.. ?? Just looking for information..

thanks... i really enjoy your art, I used to do catering for rocking chair productions.. hung out at Winterland or Filmore West in San Fransisco every weekend from 1966 for about 10 years.. i lived about 50 miles from there.. we started catering so we could get backstage passes, hear all the mucic and meet all the music people....., my buddy did the throbbing blob stuff on the walls ...Far Out..dont bogart that joint.

:hippie:

21. Wow...Thanks!
Thanks for picking up our disc, that's really sweet of you.

Synesthesia is really a trip! Have you ever heard of Sigur Ros? I think you might like them, but they may be too slow for you - hard to say. Also try Mogwai, Spiritualized, and Godspeed You Black Emperor.

Watch our website-we'll be coming back to SF in the spring. Or just sign up on our e-mail list and we'll let you know.

Thanks again!

What I liked best about it was it wasn't predictable. Usually you can tell exactly what is coming next.... but not so in this case.

Cheers.
