I am soooooooooooo flipping tired
It's not even funny. :boring:

Work right, well, sucks. We are so majorly short handed, and we just had to fire one of the new hires today because he was stupid, and a crappy worker AND stealing from the tip jar. :grr:

So now we're even more short handed, and one of the new girls is sick.

And the other girl who's been there almost as long as I have, is leaving a week from Saturday because she's moving to Colorado with her boyfriend.

So what does all of this mean? It means I work. A lot! Since I've been there since the beginning(we opened in May) and I know how to do everything.

So today I got called in early, and I worked from 9 to 7:30. I worked 9 to 7:30 yesterday, I worked a couple hours on Monday(my day off) and I worked Saturday and Sunday too.

Good news is, I'm getting a raise starting my next pay check (which will have a lot of hours on it)). :7

Ok if you've made it this far, thanks for reading! Why don't you reply and tell me how you are now. :hi:

4. I was just wondering how you've been!
I was thinking of starting a "Has anyone seen Rev Acts" thread, but got too lazy. :silly:

I've been...eh. Oh, actually, I had a petty tantrum earlier when I found out that my sweet Shah Rukh was in Manhattan today and I was not.

Poop.

10. Ohhhh I want to, LOL.
You know I want to drive up there right now and roam the streets searching for my sweet baby!

I'm going there next weekend for the U2 concert, and I think my brain will explode knowing that the two celebs I love the *most* are in NYC.
And I'll be spending time with neither of them.

SRK is filming his new movie, so he's around at least this week, maybe next (I hope I hope)? Don't know where to find him, though, and no one's talkin'....

12. MAYBE you'll just bump into him on the street
and he'll stop, and look deep into your eyes and then say "I love you! You must come away with me now!"

14. Don't encourage me, LOL. I already have him showing up at the concert!
It's bad because some of the people on my bollywood board have met him, have pics with him (and he looks HOT), might be extras...plus, I heard there aren't that many fans watching (as this is America and not Bombay) so you can see pretty well,etc...

And I'm sitting here with my copy of Duplicate (one of his films from like, 97 or so). :nopity:

Enough of my pity party--so is work your whole life now? Why aren't they hiring people who aren't dumb?

16. Bwhahahahaha
Well, stranger things have happened.. that's all I'm sayin'. :P

Yes, work is my whole life now. :o

It's hard to hire people who aren't dumb, because there are lots of dumb people. And now we're slowing down after the summer, so it's easier to get along with less people, but at the moment we need like one more and we don't have it. It'll get better in a while though.... I hope. :D

9. My assistant quit
Friday is her last day, and then I get to put out the paper by myself. I've done this before, and it entails multiple 15-hour days of grueling labor. And in between deadlines, if I'm lucky, I get to train some fuckwit applicant who wouldn't pass muster if we weren't desperate for help. It's almost easier to do it all myself. I've been through this whole routine more times than I care to remember.

11. It's sad how hard it is to find decent help, isn't it?
We've been through, um, 6 people since we opened in May. :wtf: is wrong with people?

But I feel you pain, at least I don't have to work 15 hour days. :(

I hope you find a really good assistant. :)

17. Well the raise is good news...
And seemingly well deserved I think.

I have the flu and a sociology test tomorrow. That's the only stuff worth mentioning, really.

21. I'm so flipping tired,too but
it seems like every night I go to sleep only to wake up around 2 or 3. Then I can't get back to sleep again.

Does that mean I'm beyond middle age?

Do you have nightmares about toasters?

on edit: Get some damned deserved sleep.

23. I guess I am not working that hard
I worked a mere 9.5 hours on Tuesday and the same on Wednesday in spite of being sick since Monday. Then I called in sick on Thursday, and then worked Friday thru Monday. Ran a bunch of errands on Tuesday, and have sat around most of today. I am still trying to figure a next step with the girl I was chatting with on IM, and doing my usual research, alot of neat stuff on my Guild family. Of course, it is back to work tomorrow.

Did you say, are you going to school or planning to stay in this job? It sounds pretty awful.

24. Boy that does suck working shorthanded.
I remember that all too well. It was one of the things that made me not go to nursing school. Just try to take care of yourself and get plenty of rest. And be sure to treat yourself for all your hard work. You deserve it.
