Poll question: Employment poll
I'd consider myself unemployed and looking, though not as a result of a firing. I've just helped my parents, when it's important I get into something next year at the latest. I think I'd be better off being self-employed.

I included "student" and "takes care of things around the house" because they take the place of a job.

What is your status?

2. I said employed full time
but my job is through a temp agency with no real benefits package. My job was created because a major company got rid of a few good paying jobs that people can live off and then out sourced their needs to a temp agency so they could save money.

6. Employed & looking...
maybe to become self-employed. It'll be good development skills as I'm deathly shy anyway.

9. My younger brother is considered an unemployed loser.
He lives with my 83 year old dad, does his laundry, wakes him up in the morning and gives him his medicine, cooks for him, and drives him anywhere he decides he needs to go. BUT, my sister found out that my brother is using some of my dad's money to buy pot. The family is in Family Values Horror. Did I mention that my brother also works as a sub-contractor 5 days a week?

16. That's rough.
Caring for an aging, bed-ridden parent for three weeks was the hardest thing I ever had to do. And I only had to do it for three weeks. If I'd had to do it for a longer period of time, I think I would have jumped off a bridge. I'm not going to say it's harder than caring for an infant, but it's the equivalent of like, two full time jobs in my estimation. Pot? Your sister should be grateful it isn't something (a lot) stronger.

Right now I am the treasurer for two candidates....

And I write every now and then for a few bucks here and there....

Other wise, I am blissful in my middle years....
