Stump BigMcLargehuge with Kaiju (Giant Monster) trivia!
Cmon, it's not too late, I'm sort of bored... Lay it on me.

I will answer one question at a time. If I am forced to use the IMDB I will say so, and in what capacity (occasionally it's to correctly spell names like Kumi Mizuno... and very rarely to find a producer name)...

Japanese films especially welcome.

( I know, wrong genre, but I just wanted to say hi!)

my monster trivia knowledge is sadly lacking. I only know who the Mothra sisters are, and that is about it.

10. uh, not exactly
a morality tale of a rich guy having too many wives for his own good, prior to Mao. not as much fun as Mothra, either.

I am good! We watched the last part of the Dr. Who/ Tom Baker "Key to time" series. My son is developing a very good Dr. Who lexicon.

14. Okay, with the Shogun Warriors toys, what were the weapons for the 24"
Godzilla toy?

....

I had all but one of the 24" shogun warrior toys as a kid, including the Godzilla one, so that's how I know this one.

Also, this might not qualify as a movie question, because it's about toys and not a movie.

27. I had Rodan, but I didn't have Goldorak

because I don't think Goldorak was released in the US...I could be wrong.

Those were some durable toys, I put them and the Micronauts threw some hell, and they held up really well. I wish I still had some so my kid could play with them.

22. Mothra
Two songs - The Mothra Song and Sacred Springs.

One brings the giant Moth from Infant Island. The other hatches the egg with the next generation of Mothra larvae.

My ALL TIME FAVORITE Godzilla film is the 1964 Godzilla vs Mothra.

32. Depends on the film where he appears
Destroy All Monsters calls him King of Space.
Monster Zero infers he is King of Planet X.
Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster (I only have the dubbed version) doesn't specify.

Also
- in the Heisei series he is a creation of the American time travelers.
- in the Millennium Series film GMK he is the last defender of Japan

36. I have never seen the Japanese print of King Kong vs Godzilla
But the American inserts with the UN TV station are awful and the use of the stock music from Creature from the Black Lagoon instead of Ifukube's score is a crime. Still, this is the most watched in my collection.

I LOVE Godzilla vs Boillante. That is my favorite of the Heisei series.

37. I dunno.
Boillante was a combination of Godzilla DNA, bits of a dead girl, and bean stalks. Sounds more like the average composition of a landfill in Red Bank to me.

:D

38. I sort of liked that angle
Edited on Fri Sep-23-05 11:47 PM by BigMcLargehuge
and the supporting characters, Major Nakajima and Goro were great to watch. I also liked the politics with the thinly disguised Saudi's (Saradians) as the real villains.

Godzilla vs Space Godzilla was way dumber. Godzilla cells from the burnt Biollante + Mothra fairy dust traveling through a black hole, merging with crystals, and coming back through a white hole as Space Godzilla.

The hell?

39. Haven't even thought of that one for years.
But now that you mention it, I suspect that drugs were used heavily when the screenplay was being written.

Fairy dust?
Crystals?
burnt Biollante...(shrooms?)
