has anyone else never used the ignore user or hide thread feature?

I wouldn't feel bad ignoring a user if it helps me to not attack that particular user when they're driving me crazy. (It would help me to stay civil, which is really important in a forum like this, I think.)

that I put on ignore for awhile because every reply of his seemed mean spirited---like his one intention was to insult and infuriate. I took him off ignore and haven't seen a reply from him since. :shrug:

I have used the ignore feature sparingly, and with one exception, anyone who was put on ignore was taken off within a day or two.

and the only time I hid threads was during the Schiavo fiasco. None recently tho.
