Oh Judy Garland
Oh you dear woman. She is on some sort of Andy Williams special. A character the woman was.

1. Heresy alert:
I've never understood the fascination with her.

2. She was the original Hollywood trainwreck
kinda like Anna Nicole Smith except with talent and class

4. That Anna Nicole Smith is something else
That woman has a sort of drama queen persona, but it is so fake she doesn't get to be a drama queen.

7. yeah she has no real talent
which gives her no right to be a Hollywood primadonna, instead she's just kinda pathetic

3. I don't think I am fascinated with her in the traditional sense
I knew a guy back in Springfield that had a special "festival" leading up to her birthday, the day itself being "blacked out" from all Judy Garland. I just find her a quirky, sort of tragic charicter.

6. Don't get me wrong. She was a great talent.
Worthy to be counted among the all time greats.

But sometimes I see adoration bordering on deification, and I'm just puzzled as to why some get anointed and some don't.

Just sayin'

9. Reminds me of a line from "Will And Grace":
"Judy, Liza, Barbra, Bette: these are names I shan't forget."
