I am dog sitting the laziest dog on the planet...
I am watching my aunt and uncle's Shi Tsu while they are away on vacation. She likes to sleep in my bed at night but she won't jump up on the bed nor will she allow you to pick her up while you are laying in the bed. No, you must get up out of bed and then pick her up so she can lay in your spot (which is nice and warm) before you have the chance to lay back down.

Today I think the only time she has gotten off the couch is when I made my sandwich for lunch. I rewarded her effort with some turkey.

If it was a lab or a GSD you would have to be running outside and throwing sticks and such.

2. I sat a Beagle once
He was so lazy, when he was sleeping by the door and wind blew and the door (very gently) closed on him he couldn't be bothered to move.

3. Stella on the other hand is a ball of energy
she needs 3 miles of walking each day and some hard running play time. I've turn into a "Can my dog play with your dog?" panhandler.
She's a 12 pounder. I reward HER for not barking a joggers, kids, and other dogs passing by on the sidewalk. Or for cutting it short.

6. Try doggy-sitting a Jack Russel!
That guy wore my family out and we had him for only 5 days. He never napped, up all day and hyper. I couldn't handle that 24/7. I need down time.

7. and... your problem with these things is what?? You are there to serve
them if and when they feel ready for it.

Both my doggies don't like the lean n reach, I think they feel unstable with it, can't blame em. And about that napping thing, if for no other motivation than food, why bother moving?
