A good ghost story...
Edited on Thu Aug-11-05 01:28 PM by Shell Beau
As some of you know, today is the day that my brother was killed in a car accident 9 years ago. This story still gives me chills:

A year ago, my sister-in-law and brother had their second child a little boy. My niece was two at the time. About a month after they all got back home and settled in with the new baby, my brother and my niece were looking through some pictures and she was naming everybody in them. Out of the blue, she said "Bo makes me laugh" (Bo is my dead brother and he wasn't in the pictures they were looking at. But my brother has made a great effort in telling my niece about him.) My brother said "When did you talk to him?" She said "In the hospital, he was holding the baby" My brother said "Really? What did he say?" She said "He told me he loved me and to be good." This came out of the blue. She was only 2. We didn't know what to think of it. But it makes me feel good. It brought my brother to tears and my niece asked what was wrong with him. He told her they were tears of joy.

There are few others similar to this that have happened regarding him. What to think? I don't know!

7. Now my eyes are blurry.
Good story, I'm sure she did see him, it's not unheard of. Give her a great big hug, and the baby too.

9. when my daughter was 2, she was in the playroom just chatting
away, and when I asked later who she was talking to , she told me Grandpa. Grandpa had died months earlier...
Someone told me at the time that children are more attuned to the lost than adults.

11. This is really wild when you hear my story:
My wife's father died about 10 years before my daughter was born. One day the 2 of them were riding in the car (daughter was 2) and appeared to be "talking" to someone in the back seat. My wife asked 'who are you talking to' and she said "Poppy". My wife told me that her dad said that he wanted to be called "Poppy" by any grandkids he may have, and when she showed our daughter a pic of him, she said - "that's Poppy."

We never referred to him as Poppy - ever.

13. *blots eyes with a hankie*
*sniff*

Seriously, I love ghost stories.

I'm fresh out at the moment... Except for the fact, I'm
pretty sure there's some sort of benevolent spirit in my
house (or maybe the house itself).

That's neither here nor there tho...

Thanks for the story.

:)
