DU Lounge: Safe Haven from getting blasted elsewhere

Posted in LBN a story I found through a link someone else had posted. I was flamed and fried in 60 seconds flat, and then locked...said the story I posted had been debunked many times...funny...I read LBN (post there regularly) all the time...never saw what I posted as debunked, but hey! What do I know :rant: Was almost wondering if I was in GD the way it all happened.

Am staying in the lounge tonight, licking my wounds...it's safe and a lot more fun here.

So many people have fallen for it. And keep falling for it. I think the guy was smoking hash, typed up a fantasy and published it.

DUers can be pretty unforgiving about posting things we've seen before. Often we expect everyone else to already know what we do. Unrealistic expectations, huh?

Respectfully, the thing you posted about is a possibility that many members of DU feel has been debunked. People should not have been so rude, but we have seen that discussed before. Not very well, in my opinion, but I'm skeptical of the outcome your post mentioned. The Man At the Top is too well insulated.

That being said, I've had a LOT of weird stuff happen today. I mean, I'm not getting my hopes up, but--stuff. No, I don't want to post what exactly, just weird shit I noticed in the media, some really weird feelings. In the middle of the day, I ran across a headline that made me go, "that almost makes me wonder if something happened in the Fitzgerald investigation--did something happen? I didn't see anything on DU, not even that post about Bush getting indicted was back." Then I came home, and there it was.

I'm not, NOT, NOT suggesting that I think anything will happen, but today was weird, if you ask me. Sorry you got flamed.

And as for weird...yeah! Felt an earthquake that apparently didn't happen, and now my A/C is on the fritz and it's almost 90 in the house...was gone all day helping a friend, and it was 106 here today.
Now, realty management is only an answering machine, so hope it will be fixed ASAP tomorrow (keeping cool with a fan on me right now...)
