The penguins, pandas, and squids are killing me
Please tell me about something that involves NONE of them.
And please tell me if MrScorpio has opened the bar yet, I need a drink.

Khash.

2. Okey dokey, you start.
Lugers are my faves, but I kinda have a thing for Howitzers (so damn sexy).

5. well, a Luger was a WWI German Pistol and a Howitzer is an artillery piece
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 08:01 PM by Zuni
The US M-1 Garand was the best standard issue rifle of the war, because unlike most WWII rifles it was semi-auto and not bolt action

The worst are quite possible the Japanese Arisakas because of their absurd length---the rifles were often taller than a Japanese soldier!

The Luger was replaced in the German Army by the Walther P-38, a similar looking but better built pistol

A Howitzer is a medium velocity, high angle artillery piece that lobs shells onto the enemy often several miles away. In WWII, in the US Army at least, 105mm (field standard) and 155mm (medium heavy)were the most common sizes

9. Ok I admit it
I have no interest in rifles at all. And no knowledge. I prefer pistols. And although the Walther is better built, I still prefer the Luger. They feel different and I like the way the Luger feels in my hand.

6. You would have won this one, my dear
by virtue of being cleverer than everyone else. But you made one fatal mistake and have been disqualified - YOU MENTIONED PANDAS AND PENGUINS AND SQUIDS! And all in the subject line! Shame!

8. Thanks for the drink, Joan!
All I know about driving fast is a lady recently posted not to do it in a tank top or certain sensitive pieces of anatomy end up coming out the armholes. I'm still puzzled as to whether that's a good reason to speed or a good reason not to. I suppose it depends on one's point of view.

14. anytime, Khash
I wear tank tops while I'm riding all the time without any problems so I can't understand what she's talking about ... unless she's wearing a man's undershirt instead of a woman's tank.

My troubles show up when my tee shirt blows up. I've learned to tuck in my shirts to avoid any accidental flashing high-beams when I don't want to.

on The Planet's Funniest Animals. But Animal Planet disagreed, so I guess it's straight to video.
