25. And right now
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 08:44 PM by mvd
Today's pop/rock is a big part of my music hobby. Besides all the pop/rock artists I've mentioned, there's Aly & AJ, Lalaine, Megan McCauley, Hope Partlow, and Brie Larson coming out this year. I've enjoyed what I've heard from them. It doesn't seem to matter if they are 15 or 35 in age - I can't get enough of today's pop-rock music.

and also photography. Cooking, but not the cleaning up afterwards.

Edited to say that this was meant to be a reply to the original post!

I like looking at gardens, but not the gardening itself (that's husband's hobby). My gardening skills consist of pulling dandelions so I can give the leaves to my pet rabbit.

13. I did want to ask you about this and forgot earlier -
if you're supposed to be taking it easy, isn't gardening a funny choice for a relaxing pastime? It's bloody hard work, gardening!!! Digging, weeding, cutting grass, etc. - in my opinion it's harder work than most sports.

Nice looking at the results though.

9. I have several...
Between April and October (when it's warm) I like to bike ride; I've been rather lazy this season and I'm only up to 1400 kilometers (and counting). I also enjoy caring for wild birds and (as the child of a librarian) I'm an avid reader.

14. BIRDING
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 04:07 PM by XemaSab
Birding, birding, birding.

Also on a lesser and haphazard scale, butterflies, quilting, cross stitch, art (pastels), used to sing, reading, reading, and birding.

And when I'm not birding, I like reading about birding. And making lists. And thinking about optics.

Oh, and surfing the net. That's a big one. Duh.

27. You oughta live around my area!
I live in the Mid-Coast region of Maine. Ospreys, turkey vultures(If you like them), wild turkeys, an occasional ruffed grouse will scare you out of your mind, a Bald Eagle that shows up now and again, Blue Herons, Gold Finches are regular visitors to my feeder, hummingbirds. If you are willing to take a tour you can see Puffins.
If you like sea birds there are laughing gulls, carefull though, if your eating at any number of seaside seafood places these birds will take the food right of the plate. No joke. Oh yeah, there are our resident Pileated Woodpeckers! And recently a big Barred Owl has shown up around my yard. I have flushed it three times so I am guessing it is regular resident in the area. I have seen Barred Owls before but I don't remember them being as big as this one.

It also provides an excuse to get out to the blue parts of the state, the lands of Kerry stickers and White-collared Seedeaters.

16. Reading, arguing, flirting
I used to love gardening and building intricate scale models of torture equipment, but I've had to give those up because of my disability. Same with drawing, although I was never good at that to begin with.

I love/hate writing, but that's not totally a hobby anymore.

Khash.

31. I ride too. Many people don't realize
just how much it takes out of you. I used to come home exhausted and my husband would say things like "I don't see why you're so tired, it's the horse that does all the work", but he doesn't ride so he's clueless on that score.

I wear a back support, which not only helps with pain but also reminds me to sit up straight, and ankle bandages which help with the stress of constantly pushing my heels down.
