Killer Flip Flops (N'Western Lacrosse Team domestic terrorists?)
http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-13401709,00.html

FLIP FLOPS CAN BE KILLERS

Wearing trendy flip flops could kill you, according to new research.

The fashionable footwear - ideal for the beach in hot weather - are putting the lives of road users at risk.

Three in every four motorists have admitted they find it hard to drive in flip flops and road safety experts have warned that wearing the sandals in the car could be a lethal decision.

Researchers claim a flip flop, worn by millions, can easily get stuck under the pedals and cause a fatal accident, The Sun says.

The Sun also says that German researchers revealed last year that 14 out of 25 pairs of flip flops they studied contained toxic chemicals known to lower sperm count in men and attack the liver, kidneys and reproductive organs.

Do you think Northwestern's Womens' Lacrosse team was sending Herr Bush a message? Now just where was Homeland Security when the deadly flip flops flapped around the White House?

1. 30 years ago it was rumored to be illegal to drive in flip-flops
in TN. Never did find out if that was true or not.
Just seemed like common sense not to wear them to drive in.

5. It's also rumored to be true that it's illegal to drive barefoot
I'll put my barefoot "pedal skills" up against anyone in high heels ANY DAY.

My boss and I got into a heated argument one day, and I called the state police barracks and asked if it were illegal to drive in bare feet. The guy on the other end of the phone said "yes". I asked what statute they would cite if they ticketed me. He put the phone down, and came back 5 minutes later, saying he had never ticketed anyone for this, and couldn't find the law.

My boss refused to concede (she drove in high heels all the time, which is probably what precipitated the argument)

6. I can't drive in heels at all.
It is the most awkward thing to try to do.
Funny that the trooper didn't know. :)
