8. Hopefully yes, and hopefully no.
It all depends on my job situation. If I get this job I've interviewed for, I wouldn't be able to (in fact, I'd have to end all political involvement on DU).

If not, then I'll be there.

10. I'm going to try. I want to.
I may not be able to fly out there. But I still have loads of vacation time available. I might take some extra days and take the train to DC. :-)

15. Try these websites!
http://www.kayak.com
http://www.sidestep.com

They aren't airline websites but instead searches all the airline websites including some of the smaller ones to find you the best price out there. ANd their prices usually include all the airports in the area.

YOu'll want to fly into either Baltimore-Washington (BWI) or Washingotn National (DCA - some refer to it as an idiot's name, I think you have one like that in Houston too).

Good luck!

16. Many thanks for the information.
:hi:

I am looking forward to meeting everybody.

What is the weather like in Washington at the end of September, the only other time I was there was for the big protest march in January 2002 and it was 20 degrees during the day. Should I pack a jacket?

17. Well, I got sunburned at the Oct 2002 protest
and it started out cold that morning.

Protest clothing I would recommend - jacket, sweatshirt and tee-shirt underneath. More than likely, late September will still be warm.

Where's your hotel? - PM me :D

13. Pat and I talked tentatively about going together.
We both work a lot of weekends and have coordinating to do with kids, jobs, school, etc. so we won't know for sure until early September. :(

23. Try these websites for transportation to the protest
http://answer.pephost.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ANS_S24_transportation

http://www.unitedforpeace.org/ride.php

THis is going to be such an important event that everyone who can make it in that day should try so, even if you can't stay the weekend. Be there for the protest!
