I wake up in the middle of the night
Edited on Mon Aug-01-05 11:18 AM by Sequoia
and my first thought was how I might have been mean to others. Maybe it's because every day is a PMS (not Pre, Post). Sometimes I feel I go too far and might hurt other's feelings, etc. No one and no company is perfect so I apologize to the Universe. I hate being mean and angry all the time, it's just not me, or wasn't until now. I hate going through the "change", dealing with this Administration, poor economy, bad haircut, etc.. I'm a raging beast everyday, and need to tape up my mouth or just bite my tounge. Anyway, I love everyone today (for now :dilemma: )

1. The first step is admitting to yourself that you've been mean.
I haven't quite figured out what the second step is yet.

2. I find that if I'm in a
bad mood, I'm better off if I just shut the heck up. Think about what I want to say before I say it.

3. one thing i have focused on for myself
is this: live each day as if it were your last day on earth. not to sound morbid, but i try to remember that this may be the last time i ever talk to somebody, so i want to treat him/her with as much respect and decency as possible.

this has really helped me find some serenity, especially in the past couple months, which have been challenging, personally. i could easily choose anger and hate, but i know that in the end that will hurt me more so than the object of my anger.

you have to be good to yourself first. and that means feeling good about yourself. when you treat others with compassion, you can feel good about yourself.

 best of luck to you!
