Opinion's Needed on Accuracy of Movie blogs?

How accurate are movie blogs on casting information for films?

If anyone has a site that they know of that is normally accurate can you give me a link?

I'm trying to figure out the odds of accuracy on a rumor I read floating on one.

ETA: I am trying to find out whether it is definite or not that Julian Mcmahon has been cast in the Hitcher remake.

I had read this about Julian on Movie.blog.com where a poster had read it from another blog. This info was posted there on this past Thursday but so far no one else has picked it up so I am skeptical. Also there is no cite of the original source of the information so I'm not sure whether this is definite or still up in the air. I know Julian tested, he confirmed it in a radio interview, he'd done while promoting Fantastic Four, but I hadn't heard or read any where else that the casting had been made official.

I checked on IMDB and so far there have been no updates and I also checked out Yahoo movies as you suggested but they didn't have anything either.

I'm personally hoping it is not true, because I personally don't enjoy horror movies and would not want to watch this one. In fact I know I won't go see it even though he is my favorite actor right now. Just don't like the gory stuff.
