23. Second summer without it

We put window units in last year and closed off part of the house. It wasn't too bad. And it hasn't been too bad this year either.

But we finally gave in and bought a new central unit yesterday. It will be installed tomorrow.

My father was partly sighted but had a lot of totally blind friends. They would use braille cards to play poker but they all admitted it would be very easy for the dealer to cheat. You could read the card as it was being dealt out if you wanted to.
