My Freeper-like friend woke me up drunk at 2 AM to argue about politics...
We had a big dust up over Clinton lying about a bj versus Bush lying about going into Iraq.

Another one about Bill and Hillary, Joe Lieberman and John Kerry, talking about pulling out of Iraq and making a timeline for it. (which, none have done)

About Brian Schweitzer saying he wanted Montana National Guard troops to be in Montana rather than Iraq during fire season.

And about Affirmitive Action, which his argument didn't make any sense and I was falling asleep on the phone, so I can't really tell you what he was getting at.

It nearly escalated into a fistfight, when he said Ted Kennedy was an Irish drunk, thank God we were on the phone because I would have punched him. It was defused when I pointed out to him that he was part Irish and just called me drunk off his ass, so we both laughed uncontrollably at that one.

And, after all of this, he was telling me he can't wait to go back to Montana because he wants to campaign for me and help me win over Republican votes, haha.

Oh gosh, I'm tired. Two hours of arguing and then he says he's my biggest fan and wants to be my campaign manager. He was already discussing strategy, lol.

What has America (aka 'Mercka) come to?

1. Sounds like an interesting friendship!
I have a freeper-like friend as well. We can't talk politics. Last time we did we didn't speak for months!

3. Hey Mutley!
Nice to see you.

Yeah, it is an interesting friendship for sure. I'd rather not talk politics it stresses the friendship, yet he always brings it up. :)

2. As odd a relationship
as that is. It sounds pretty good. Oh well, good luck with that. Hopefully you can win him over sometime down the line.

As for the lying about the bj vs lying about the war. One resulted in white stains on one woman's dress, the other resulted in red stains on hundreds of thousands of peoples clothes (plural). Just look at it from a dry cleaner's perspective.

4. yeah we work it out ok in the end
Oh I know. I like how these guys think it's a national shame that Clinton cheated on his wife -which that is bad don't get me wrong, shame on him- but it's perfectly alright to get 1800 Americans killed, thousands more maimed and lord knows how many Iraqi's killed, for a much more blatant lie than Clinton did.

Now, if Bill Clinton started this war.... Imagine the firestorm then. Republicans made worse comments about Kosovo then Democrats have about Iraq.

7. Given The Current State of Events......
....if I were a Freeper or Freeper-like, I'd be pissed off and drunk at 2:00 AM, as well.

9. Gosh couldn't that wait until morning
My grandparents had friends who they disagreed with politically. They sometimes did have shouting matches in the living room. Sometimes my grandparents kicked them out or they left angry. They'd always come back though. This would happen in the afternoon, not the middle of the night.
