List all the concerts you've ever been to.
I'll start... some of these were at Warped Tour last year, but I've just listed them all seperately.

Dave Matthews Band (x3), Something Coporate, Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, George Bensen, The Goo Goo Dolls, Hanson (x3), Gavin DeGraw, Maroon5, Michael Tolcher, Teitur, Days Away, Presidents of The United States of America, Karl Densen's Tiny Universe, The Starting Line, Fall Out Boy, Senses Fail, Story of the Year, *NSYNC, Washington Social Club, Matchbook Romance, My Chemical Romance, Dave Brubeck, Green Day, Lars Frederikson and The Bastards, Bad Religion, James Taylor, India. Arie, Flogging Molly, Yellowcard, Thursday, Rise Against, The Early November, Bon Jovi, Ben Jelen, Ingram Hill, Allister, Home Grown, Gregg Allman

And I'll be going to Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Tegan & Sara, Warped Tour 2005, and Ani Difranco in the next few months.

So... what concerts/shows have you been to? :hi:

but the second Yes concert, Big Generator Tour, I had to pull an all nighter to finish a college class project, so I literally slept thru the entire show.

seen than I can remember.

Some great ones I remember are Allman Brothers reunion at the Charlie Daniels jam. King Sunny Ade and Jimmy Cliff at Red Rocks. Willie Nelson in a small bar for three straight hours (simply an amazing show). Keith Richards and J.D. and the Jammers playing at Benny's in New Orleans after the Stones concert. Partying before and after the show and getting on stage with Stevie Ray Vaughan at the Grand Ole Opry.....there are so many more. I just love live music.

Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 03:49 PM by primate1
Combined with an utter lack of shows around here.

The Beach Boys featuring John Stamos (Fuck yeah, my first concert ever featured John Stamos! You know you're jealous.)
The Tea Party
Sam Roberts
Wintersleep
And tomorrow I'll be seeing Finger Eleven, K-os and The Tragically Hip.

Ones I've missed:
Sam Roberts (Another one)
Billy Talent
Matthew Good
Matt Mays and El Torpedo
The Weakerthans/The Constantines
Alexisonfire
And the Closet Monster show I didn't even know about till the day after it took place.

129. I saw Toots at some other show I'm pretty sure
I got the info on the Clash opening for the Who in Philly off a site where people were trading/ selling CD-Rs of concerts. Of course, such sites don't have to be any more accurate than any other website, but presumably some purchaser would call them out on it sooner or later if they were selling CDs purporting to be the Philly show and then on it Joe called out "Hello, Buffalo!"

Apart from it being 25 years ago (ugh), I went from Philly to NYC via bus, hustled over to JFK and eventually caught a standby flight to London for a junior year abroad in Canterbury. So I could be forgiven for being a little discombobulated.

101. Me too and me too, respectively. Just before Live Aid, their first date
in a year and half after Chrissie's second (I think) baby. At the Chestnut Cabaret just off Penn's campus. They played nothing but crowd favorites; there was only one song I didn't recognize, so when we went home I pulled out their first record. It turned out to be "Up the Neck" and has been a favorite ever since.

As Tommy Gallagher said, "Chrissie sweated on me!!!"

81. My first concert was Alice Cooper
I've seen Alice Cooper (twice), Aerosmith (twice), Ted Nugent (before he went nuts), Elton John (great show), Beach Boys (twice), AC/DC (with their original lead singer - they rocked), Heart, Joan Jett (what a babe), Bebop Deluxe (great band), UFO, Iggy Pop (he's nuts), J Giles (great show), Blue Oyster Cult, Boston (once in a bar and then in a sold out civic center), Foghat, America, Jeff Beck (I fell asleep), Rod Stewart (great) and many more that I have difficulty remembering:).............. I used to get pretty fired up for concerts:).......

108. My first was the Bee Gees, 1979 World Tour
I still have the program from it. This was at the height of their white polyester-suit-wearing, bad euro-disco power. They toured with a 30-piece string section and a dozen-piece band. I was all of ten years old, and it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen up to then.

After that, I started going to shows pretty regularly-- everything from heavy metal to r'n'b to "new wave" (as it was called then). Within the next five years, I saw the Spinners, Black Sabbath, the first Deep Purple reunion, Fleetwood Mac, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, Sammy Hagar (pre-Van Halen), jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan,.... many I don't quite recall, either.

My most memorable shows are Morphine, Sonic Youth, Swervedriver, Kitchens of Distinction, the Wedding Present (back in 1994) and My Bloody Valentine on the "Loveless" tour.

Most recently I saw Brian Wilson for the second time on the "Smile" tour. I had tickets to Gang of Four on May 10, but ended up going into the hospital instead. :( maybe next time.

118. Here's what I can remember
And most of these bands, none of you will have a clue.

Lucky Boys Confusion, The Dog And Everything, Pomeroy, Grasshopper Takeover, at least a dozen times a piece.

Bright Eyes w/ The Faint.
Motion City Soundtrack last week.
311 (FREE!) at Memorial Park in Omaha.
Plain White T's a couple times. Saraphine.
Zebrahead a couple times.
Swizzle Tree probably a half dozen times.

Too many local bands to count. The Fonzarellies, Mandown, Clever, are all defunct now. Straight Outta Junior High is always fun, and Anchondo's pretty good too. Seen those bands a few times.

Gavin DeGraw at school, oddly, with Lucky Boys as the opener. What a weird show that was. The year before it was Blessid Union of Souls (anyone remember them?)

Ben Folds at Creighton University.

The only "show" that sticks out in my memory is seeing The National Lampoon Touring Company performing "Lemmings" and "The Watergate Comedy Hour" live. John Belushi & company were hysterical.

Along with the musical shows I listed before, by the way I forgot Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd (wonder why I forgot them he he), I saw Jim Carrol, Allen Ginsberg, and Henry Rollins do spoken word...amazing.
