What does egocentrism have to do with enjoying being the centre of attention? That's not egocentrism, that's extroversion.

5. I think egocentric means

that you are concerned or overly concerned with yourself. I don't think it means you want to be the center of others attention.

But if others focus on you is what is needed for you to fufill your own self importance then, ofcourse you want the attention.
