10. Mom tied me up to a clothes rack one summer.....
I had taken a little adventure tour of the area with my neighborhood buddies one day back in 1968 (five years old). So what if we were a little late for dinner mom? We got home by dark!

4. I used those things.
and don't apologize for it. We took my two eldest to Disney when they were 2 & 4 and when they weren't in the stroller, they were on a lead like that. Would have gone crazy without them.

Any steps to keep a child safe are fine by me.

8. I also used one on my oldest
and will not tolerate anyone second-guessing that decision. It was a useful tool to train him that it was IMPORTANT that I knew where he was when we were out and about. Once he figured out that "big boys" had a communication responsibility, it was no longer necessary.

12. You've only recently learned of "trophy wives?"
Really?

I've noticed that recently with Paris Hilton's popularity that people are using small dogs as fasion statements. I guess it's only logical that people use kids as trophies.
