Macademia nuts --- YUMMMMMMMMMM

Started The South Beach Diet this week, and since the first 2 weeks limit processed carbs (actually, I think "eliminate" is a better word) I've been looking for something to make my salad filling. Yes, I used grilled chicken, salmon, and tuna, but today I added macademias (1/2 a handful).

Pure little globules of salted fat. Good thing they're so expensive or I'd eat 'em by the pound.

1. Macademia Nuts

God, those are the absolute best - figures that they have more fat
than any other nut. Good luck on your diet and enjoy those Hawaiian
delicacies. Once I start on them I can't stop!

That is what the jar of Mauna Loa that I have on my desk reads. They are pretty good. I am looking to buy some mail-order macadamias, if you know of a GREAT brand to recommend please let me know. Your salad sounds delicious.

3. I got to go on a field trip to a macadamia nut farm once!

The joys of being a school kid in Hawaii. We each got to eat a few nuts that had fallen from the trees.
