get blown across the beach. Scare him really good, but not hurt him too badly.
I'm in south Mississippi...no concerns here. After about 10 this morning, it became pretty clear that Dennis would hit somewhere between Mobile Bay and Pensacola and south Mississippi would be safe. Mid to north MIssissippi, though, is going to get some pretty wild weather.
I've griped about NHS being too conservative in their forecasts, but they pretty much nailed the path.
Now, back to those idiots standing outside as the eye comes ashore. Did anyone just see Jeff Morrel almost get blown down the street in Pensacola? He's holding onto a streetlight post right now. What's he gonna do when mobile home comes tumbling down the street.
I guess what most pisses me off about these guys is that they fly in for the drama, and then fly out and don't have to deal with the devastation left in the storm's wake.
But I'll save my bitching for another day.
Thanks, everyone, for the very nice PMs. I'm going to lie down and take a nap, but I promise I'll respond later. It's just a little windy and rainy here. Let's hope the DUers in the path of Dennis come home to as little damage as a storm this size will afford.
