Now for some real Pink Floyd fun: Dark Side of the Moon and....

First and foremost - did they actually plan it so that DSoTM and WoO meshed so well together? I've actually tried it once and I've read about it online - there are too many fricking coincidences that makes me truly believe they planned it on purpose.

What, you may be asking, am I talking about? Simple get one CD of Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" and one copy of "Wizard of Oz". Start "Wizard of Oz" and after the 3rd MGM Lion Roar start "Dark Side of the Moon"

It's fucking amazing how the 2 work together

Here's some of the stuff I'm talking about:
http://classicrock.about.com/library/misc/blpinkfloydwizardofoz.htm

1. When Dorothy runs away from home, the line "No one told you when to run" from the song "Time" is heard.
2. The tornado scene begins just as "The Great Gig in the Sky" starts playing. The song lasts for the entire duration of the storm.
3. The female singer begins moaning, her voice rising and falling in time with the mood of the tornado scene.
4. When "Great Gig" ends, the first side of the album also ends (not valid when using a CD).
5. "Money" begins as Dorothy opens the door and sees Oz. The black and white part of the film ends at this point and begins in color.
6. The lyics "Don't give me that do-goody-good bullsh*t" are heard as Glinda the good witch floats down in her bubble.
7. The dancing ballerinas seem to keep time with the rhythm in "Us and Them."
8. "Brain Damage" becomes the backdrop for the scarecrow scene where he's singing "If I Only Had a Brain."
9. The album ends with a heartbeat, as Dorothy presses her ear to the Tin Man's chest to listen for a heart.

Here's a sight with even a more extensive list:

BTW, as I was googling to find the list I just found out that you can do the same thing with Meddle and "2001, A Space Odyssey

1. my friend and I did a test on that
we took different music and played to tapes of old cartoons he had while tripping on acid once.

Lynton Kwesi Johnson, the Reggae Dub Poet worked really well with an old He-Man cartoon he had on tape. Too well. At one point in on song he was like "knock knock upon the door" and this guy goes up to the door of a castle and is let in...another time he said something about a gate opening, and a secret gate opened for one of the characters, among other coincidences

The Police worked well with old Bugs Bunny cartoons if i remember correctly

That is why I think the Wizard of Oz--Dark Side is coincidence

2. I would think on Acid...
...even Bugs Bunny & Toby Keith would somehow match up musically

4. They are so full of shit
It's way too freaky of how things work out the way they do like Brain Damage playing the same time the Scarescrow sings "If I only had a brain"

I mean, one or two coincidences and I'd buy what Gilmour and Waters are saying but the whole freaking album works exactly with the movie. I believed them until I did it myself
