1. I'm remembering really good times I had with Andy.

I'll be doing lots of reminiscing this weekend.

and making us all move furniture while he supervised is still one of my favorite Andy moments. :)

2. I'll go first...

the thing I can't get out of my head today is him singing. That boy just LOVED show tunes. He knew it was a cliche and he didn't care. :) He and I talked on the phone nearly every day and 9 times outta 10 he'd pick up and just burst into song.

And I'm never going to get his version of "Happy Trails"..."Paper Trails"...outta my head. He was constantly reworking the lyrics and singing it to me.

I can hear him right now up in heaven leading the choir in a rousing rendition of "Everything's Coming Up Roses" in his big, booming Ethel Merman impersonation. :)

9. Andy was such a loving spirit

I knew him far too briefly ... his passion for what he believed in was amazing. He had a beautiful heart and he truly loved his fellow DUers. I'm so glad that we met.

I'm glad that we met. This morning I was talking about all of the people who came together because of their love for Andy.

11. Good times...

Only met him once and he was already sick. It was very good times but I couldn't share a drink with him that day. I imagine now he can drink with the god/desses, so tonight when I get home I will drink with him, and for him.

16. This is the way my family does wakes.

We are Irish through and through. We usually go through all
the religious stuff - then retire to the bar/pub nearest and
dearest to the person's heart and celebrate their life with
humor and laughter.

It works for us.

So, even though I stopped drinking a long time ago, I'm raising
a virtual glass to his honor, his energy and his great spirit.

20. I will miss him

I got to meet him once, along with Will Pitt and yourself in DC. He was dedicated to his beliefs about what is wrong with the Bush administration. He will be missed.
