Proof of Intelligent Design
Obviously Intelligent Design predicts that the universe was designed. Look at all the evidence that the meaning of it all points to one unique number.

Elvis Presley died at 42.

The angle at which lights reflects off water to create a rainbow is 42 degrees.

The city of Jerusalem covers an area of 42 square miles.

The Torah (the holy book of Judaism) is broken into columns each of which always has exactly 42 lines.

Fox Mulder (the X-files) liven in apartment number 42.

There are 42 decks on the Enterprise NCC1701-D (The Next Generation ship)

Bill Clinton is the 42nd U.S. President.

A Wonderbra consists of 42 individual parts.

There are 42 Oreo cookies in a 1 pound package.

7. Not to nitpick, but the Enterprise D is NOT the TNG ship.
Enterprise D is the one that came through the temporal anomaly, and the one that Tasha Yar returned to the past on.

I believe the TNG Enterprise dropped the suffix, and is listed simply as NCC-1701.

but TNG ship was 'D'.

'A' was introduced at the end of Movie IV, 'The Voyage Home', and decommisioned at the end of Movie VI, "The Undiscovered Country".

'B' was commisioned at the beginning of Movie VII, "Generations".

'C' is the ship that Tasha Yar returned to the past in during a temporal anomoly that changed history.

'D' was the TNG ship, destroyed in Movie VII "Generations"

'E' is introduced in "First Contact" (Movie VIII).

Enterprise-C was featured in "Yesterday's Enterprise." Picard commanded Enterprise-D (and later -E)

Anything can be 42 in arbitrary units that are 1/42nd of the total. :eyes:
