1. No pop ups here....
On a Mac using Safari...

barely remember what a pop up is until I get to work and use the Windows machine at work to surf the Internet....

9. It's the opposite with me.
I use a PC at home and have AOL, which has pop-up blocking software.
But when I go to work and use my Mac, then I get all those annoying pop-ups.

4. sure. somebody is trying to sell you something.
But there's a chance you do, if you download software. Don't worry about it, our divinely ordained Attorney General would never allow spying on U.S. citizens.

5. The funnything is, if you install their anti-popup software
it puts spyware on your system, just theirs.

6. Those are simply ads
It is a good idea to have anti spyware software (doo a Google search - there are a couple of free ones out there) but never trust an anti spyware software company that tells you you're in imminent danger. That's like trusting Shrub to tell you that Saddam is about to nuke you!

7. Most likely an ad
I wouldn't trust it. But if you don't already, download Ad Aware from http://www.lavasoft.ru, make sure to 'check for updates' and then run it.

It will find all kinds of spyware the first time, run it on a regular basis and keep it updated and you'll be fine.
