2. I'll Fly Away
which is being rerun on American Life TV. It is the story of a Southern DA/Justice Dept. DA , his family, and his AfricanAmerican maid and her family, and takes place during the Civil Rights era. A lot of drama, a little soap, and a good way to let folks who didn't live through it get an idea of the hate and violence that surrounded the struggle for equality and human rights in the 50s and 60s.

9. Hmm.. I have a list.
Here's my current viewing list. My time is tight (school & work), so that I set-aside time to watch these shows points to how much I enjoy them.

Comedies:
Arrested Development (FOX)
Family Guy (FOX)
Wonder Showzen (MTV2)
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (Comedy Central)

Favorite Comedy: Do I really have to pick? God, this one is hard.. I seriously think I have an overdeveloped sense of humor.. hmm.. I guess I'd go Family Guy, although Arrested Development is really neck-and-neck in my book.

Dramas:
LOST (ABC)
Desperate Houswives (ABC)
Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
FullMetal Alchemist (Cartoon Network)

Favorite Drama: FullMetal Alchemist, hands-down. I laugh, I cry.. I wanna know how it all ends.

I actually have some television viewing to catch-up on. My TiVO is getting pretty full..

And if it gets the chance to hang around for a couple of seasons (and keeps the same quality) may very well become the best sitcom ever.

47. I've heard so many good things about this show.
I tried to watch it once, and I just didn't like it at all. I think that I was missing something. Not to be smart at all, but would you please explain to me what you like about it? So many people like it that it's obviously really good and I'm just not "getting" it.

49. Well, it has David Cross which is enough for me personally
But were you watching it from the beginning? Because it kind of runs like a soap opera in that many storylines and jokes run continuously throughout the series.

I love the varied characters and their quirky ways, but someone jumping into this dysfunctional family without any background might just find their behavior more strange than funny.

I'd recommend going to Blockbuster and getting the first season DVD.

51. Thanks, Mojambo.
I was wondering if it was sort of like the show "Soap" that Billy Crystal was in a long time ago. I think that if someone came into that in the middle, they might not have really understood it also.

I'll check out my Blockbuster. Thanks again.

I only have basic cable though now. It wouldn't prudent for me to fork over over $100 a month for cable (especially when they watch less than 2 hours a week of TV) right now.
