Call me a sap, but I think the "Small World" ride at Disneyland is great
I experienced it for the first time when I was six, and I really think it might have sparked my internationalist tendencies back then. My daughter, who is five, just rode through it and she was enthralled with the dolls from many lands singing in harmony. Everyone now:

It's a world of laughter
- A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
- And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
- That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

There is just one moon
- And one golden sun
And a smile means
- Friendship to every one
Though the mountains divide
- And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

11. I went on it in the mid- Sixties
It's ooooold. But I kinda have to agree with Oregonian, the idea of internationalism that it promotes is a very good thing. I guess that's still part of the Disney experience, even though it's not a very popular idea in Amurka right now.

Meantime:

You are evil, and you must be destroyed.

must . . . replace . . . earworm . . .

*turns on Paul Anka*

25. The ride is great (if I remember correctly twenty years later) but...
that brain-eating song that won't let go for days or weeks at a time is, well, brain-eating.
