Ever just lie to a guy/girl just to get rid of him/her?
Edited on Thu Jun-23-05 08:25 PM by YellowRubberDuckie
Yeah, I have. I knew that if I told him I just wasn't attracted to him, he would cry and make me feel like shit. So I told him I was moving to San Fransisco to work in my uncle's law firm and finish college.
Wanna hear something weird? He just IMed me out of the blue, while I was in a chatroom on YAHOO!. When I asked him if he remembered me, he said he didn't, and wouldn't believe me when I gave him details about his life, that he even confirmed!! He's still not cute, but I just about peed my pants. God, it's a small world, and lately, it's been absolutely MICRO!!

4. Oh
And he didn't recognize your screenname? And ............

I once told a guy over the phone that I had just found out I had an inoperable brain tumor and was going home to die.

Another time, a man I didn't want to see any more called and didn't recognize my voice when I answered, so I told him I was my sister and I had been killed in a car crash two days earlier.

This is why it's better I'm not dating any more.

Small world, honey. Be careful .................

7. Take my stories, YellowRubberDuckie,
and go forth and use your powers for good.

If you can't, use the brain tumor story.

:woohoo: :applause:

i went on a blind date once. the guy was totally wrong for me but he was nice. at the end he asked for my number and all that. i was pretty shy back then and i didn't know what to do so i told him that my job was transferring me in a few days so i didn't think we should start anything. i just couldn't say "hmmm, not so much with you". then a few months later he called me at work. he had remember where i said i worked (i was stupid telling him) and he called and asked for me. this was about 15 years ago so i don't know what i said but i just about passed out. i felt really bad about the whole thing.

on edit- i forgot another time. i met this guy after i had way too much to drink. he kept telling me how sweet and pretty i was (after on 15 minutes) being totally wasted, i thought he was nice and gave him my number. the next morning i realized how smarmy and kind of creepy he actually was and when he called i told my roommate to say there was no one there by that name. he tried a few times. i didn't feel bad about that one because he was just trying to get lucky.

9. For years I had a fake husband or fiance -- had a fake ring.
Works well.

If you change your mind later in life you can always get a divorce.

14. I just secretly hate people but let it out, so like everyone knows
That makes everything really awkward, because I always have to worry about people telling people things.
