Bewitched - Liz Montgomery v. Nicole Kidman: Your choice?
Anybody 45 and over remembers Elizabeth Montgomery in 1966. As Joe E. Brown said in "Some Like It Hot," Zowie. Can't go wrong with either one, but my choice - and it's a tough one, because Nicole Kidman is not only gorgeous, smart, and dumped the weird Tom Cruise - must and will always remain Elizabeth Montgomery, my fantasy at 15 (and go to findagrave.com to check her and her peers out - great site). So, your choice, remembering there is no wrong answer here?

2. I am less than 45 and I remember Elizabeth Montgomery
She was absolutely gorgeous. Not that Nicole Kidman isn't, but I like Liz better!

3. I'll have to wait for the remake Lizzie Borden with Nicole to judge
:)

(God, I hope that was Elizabeth Montgomery in Lizzie Borden or I am a HUGE dork)

14. Yep
It was Elizabeth Montgomery, supposed to be one of her best drama roles ever.

5. Elizabeth Montgomery
Nicole is nice, but the clips I have seen of this movie make her look like a bubble headed twit. I think Will Ferrel was the wrong choice for Darin. Shirley was a good choice for Endora though.

Elizabeth Montgomery was a smart and beautiful witch. She was always a step ahead of the mortals and yet genuinely liked most mortals. I'm not getting that vibe from Nicole from the clips.

Perhaps it will not be as bad as the promos look, but I think I can wait to see it when it hits cable or dvd.

6. Wow, tough choice, I think
Nicole Kidman is the most logical heir to Liz M., no doubt.

8. Even those of us under 45 remember Elizabeth Montgomery.
The show ended when I was six, but of course, I have seen every episode thanks to the magic of reruns (and now TVLand).

Definitely Elizabeth Montgomery.

10. Elizabeth Montgomery will always be the reigning Samantha
She had that feline sexy aura that kind of transcended the nonsexual world of the 60's sitcom.

16. Montgomery
Although I'm quite young (24) I just recently enjoyed Bewitched with captioning just now. She's made the role for herself so it's hard to see anyone else in that role.

Kind of like Jackie Gleason in Honeymooners (remade), and Lucille Ball in I Love Lucy (I hope they don't remake that).

What's up with the remakes as of late?

I was going to say that she's the mother-in-law of Jenny McCarthy but she isn't (William Asher and Montgomery divorced, and Asher married again and his son from that marriage is married to McCarthy).

William Asher will be forever known as the director of I Love Lucy towards its end. To me that is.

17. For the 60's Bewitched fans, there is no comparison..
Elizabeth Montgomery rocked. I watched that show religiously when I was a kid. The characters and physical comedy was top notch.

Rest in Peace, Liz.

23. Nicole Kidman for anything
I've loved looking at her since I saw her in "To Die For". That scene where she's dancing around to Sweet Home Alabama is just entrancing. :9
