5. Gum chewing is one of the most annoying habits

For me it's like fingernails on a blackboard. I never allowed my kids to have gum when they were growing up - they thought I was a rotten mother but I don't care. It drives me nuts. Very few people seem able to chew gum with their mouth closed or avoid making tons of gross noises while doing it. When they talk, you can tell it's in their mouths and that offends me as well.

Yeah, maybe it's an overreaction but it's just one of those things. :shrug:
