6. He sure can poke fun at himself
I like this version of William Shatner more than the one on Saturday Night Live where he disparaged the very fan community that made him a multimillionaire

7. Oh man, did you happen to see Invasion Iowa?
Don't feel bad if you didn't, I think it tanked in the ratings.

It was a mini-series by the producers of that fake reality show, Joe Schmoe on Spike TV. It will totally change how you think of Shatner.

It was great TV, too bad more people didn't see it.

8. No, I never saw that...isn't it about
a group of producers who go to Iowa and tell the folks there that they are shooting a TV show?

I will have to look for it on bit torrent

9. Shooting a B sci-fi movie, yes.

It's terrific! Great laughs with genuine humanity on display. It's one of the warmer, more fulfilling television experiences I've had in some time.

If you happen to find a torrent of it, please drop me a line. I'd love to see it again.

12. Peter Jackson did a brilliant job on LOTR
Were you a tad disappointed with Episodes 1 and 2 of Star Wars??

I went into 3 actually not expecting much, but was blown away. I thought there wouldn't be as much heart to it.

13. I thought Phantom Menace sucked
and as a result thought Attack of the Clones was better. However, Sith blows both of those movies away.

14. Yes, Phantom Menace had a crappy plot
The pod race and the duel with Maul at the end were cool, but I didn't care too much about the character.

Obi Wan died early on in Star Wars, but I cared about his character even in short time. It seemed in Phantom Menace that they could have developed Qui Gon's character and Maul's better. The kid, Jake Lloyd, just sucked. I know he was a kid, but I have seen kids act well. The girl in Man on Fire, Kirsten Durnst in Interview with the Vampire, the kid in Sixth Sense were all young kids, but did great acting jobs.

Anyway, the plot development of Palpatine amazed me in Sith, I actually think he deserves an oscar nod for that performance. I loved the duel between him and Yoda. I now have to say those are my two favorite characters, since they are still a little shrouded by mystery, and no one knows what the first names are.

:)
