I'll give George W. Bush credit for one good thing:
If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have met some really great people as I have on DU.

:grouphug:

Come on, show love!

Love, love, love. It's absolutely amazing that real love can grow in the heart because of an internet community, isn't it?

I recently met a group of the BEST, most wonderful people...and it wouldn't have happened if there wasn't a George W. Bush...and Democratic Underground.

5. I'll give him another...
He's set the bar so low that the next Democratic President will seem like JFK or FDR in comparison and maybe usher in decades of Democratic Dominance in the elections. :)

8. YAY for you! I actually have agreed with DUHbya on one issue!
One day in the second year of his first term, he publicly advocated exercise as promoting general good health and urged Americans to do some of it every week. I agree!

Other than that PHHHHHHHHHBBBBBBTTTTT!

LOL

9. I think that bush has set the GOP so far back, if people actually
get out and vote, using verifiable machines, btw, the R's will suffer a setback that will last 50 years.

I believe the GOP leadership knows this, and are already gearing up to ensure that they steal the next election, at least in local House and Sen races.

For anyone with an iota of sense, it is apparent that the current neo-cons wish to establish a feudal system in the US, w/the 'Lords' controlling all aspects of the populace, and with the people simply working to enrich them, precisely why we fought the Revolution in the first place, and a Constitution was written to prevent this.

bush doesn't even get mention here in NE, most people are disgusted by what has happened, especially since the last election...people are reviewing their voting habits....

10. I've always met my best friends through terrible jobs, so
it's no surprise to me that I've met some awesome people here due to a terrible "president." Funny how that is.

xoxo to DU!

I agree with you 200 percent, my man! Things really suck now, but when they turn around, we're going to have all these kickass friends we made on DU to enjoy the good days with. I like that thought.
