300 sounds like a good time for some introductions...

I am Tara, 24, from Louisiana, sweltering in Phoenix for the last five years.
At this point in my life, I am completely consumed with all things political, definitely to the point where it has crossed my mind "Is ignorance truly bliss?" Of course its not, but wouldn't it feel great to not have the 1000 worries we share a day and be one of those people who asks you why you care because politics has 'nothing to do with you.'
I'm also a conspiracy theorist, if you will. I think if you find a million facts about something then its true, but people cannot bear to believe things like Franklin Credit Union and Bohemian Grove.

Oakland Raiders football is my life, were going ten and six this year, thank you very much Vikes....
I like to make things;jewelry, magnets, stencils, propaganda, and hopefully clothing once I master my new sewing machine.

I just hit 400 last week!

I'm Gloria, 28, and sweltering in Texas :) I'm also consumed in all things political and DU feeds my habit rather nicely.

So how did you find DU? I actively searched for a forum once the drums started beating for war in Iraq. My brother is in the Army and I knew more war meant more worries and sleepless nights for me and my family. I was (still am) extremely frustrated and needed a place to vent my anger and frustrations.

4. My roommate has been addicted for awhile.

Hes been on here, been kicked off , came back here.

I joined right after the election and I had to actually send Skinner an email because they were so many trolls about.
Im completely addicted to this place.

I feel your pain for your brother, I wish him and your family the best.
He should be safely here in America.

5. Hello and congratulations

I live in Ohio and I drive a truck for a living. My only hobby is my computer.

I'm doing my best to be oblivious about current events right now and have not posted in a political forum but a couple of times since the election. I need to do that right now for my sanity.
