the wrath of God
I'm just sayin...

now I suppose I'll get flamed.

Apologies and all my sympathy to the good people of California.

The bad people can go vote for Arnold.

1. I don't know that you will get flamed but this is a tragedy
I love my state more than I care about this country. It is why the recall broke my heart and this is just finishing it off. I see no reason to live anywhere else.

Probably the WORST thing I see is that those burned out of poor neighborhoods will get some offer from developers and in theplace of their homes will be more homes for millionaires.....Arnold will see to that.

My only solace is that the fires happened while we still had a competent governor who actually gives a shit about people.

2. It's appalling
I'm having a bad reaction--I don't know what to see or feel--I so love California--but I'm glad I don't live there right now.

Take care, nsma

4. No the greatest loss is due to a careless asshole and an evil arsonist
Two or MORE of these fires were deliberate.

5. yikes, that's right
horrible--we got it a couple of years ago in Colorado. All 5 other houses near my brother's home burned to the ground--. Forests need more tender loving care by hand and less development, IMO

7. bad fire management policy
It's called the wildland-urban interface. Those people should never have been allowed to build there or to have highly flammable roofs.
