My cousin's house burned down in the fires.
Temecula, CA. He's 26 years old, and he's got plenty of money, but the thing is all of his late mother's stuff burned. That stuff's irreplaceable.
Man.
I also have another aunt/uncle who were evacuated in San Diego but I think their house was saved. At least as of now.

2. I'm so sorry
We lived through the Oakland Hills fire. We were lucky. It breaks my heart to watch those fires.

3. I'm sorry to hear it..
I'm waiting to hear from my cousin in the San Diego area and not hearing is worrying me. I lost a lot of my "stuff" six years ago and it really hurts losing the irreplacable, sentimental things.

9. Well he's a very capable guy
and he's got plenty of financial resources (he's got a very successful ditch-digging business- sounds weird but it's true). It sounds like my mother, uncle, and grandparents are going to try to pull everything together that they have left from Sandy, his mother, and see if he wants any of it. I've got a blanket I've had hanging up on the wall for years that she gave to me before she died. I suppose if he wanted that I'd send it to him.
I'm not in CA anymore, so unfortunately I can't see him. But I think he's gonna be alright. The rest of my family is there in CA and they'll take care of him.
Man that guy has taken some hits. He's a strong fella.
Thanks for wanting to help, though...:pals:

8. It's not how much money one has
When you lose personal belongings you can't buy them back even if you have all of the money in the world.

It hurts and I feel bad for your cousin. I have been through losing all of my Mothers & my personal belongings and I know the feeling.

13. Oh I'm sorry to hear that.
Thankfully he is okay, and won't be financially ruined. It's hard enough to go through the emotional upset.
