2. Best headline ever

And true. Although on edit, I will add that Oregon produces the worst drivers, and that their high test scores show that on paper you can be a good driver, but on the road... :scared:

3. Northeasterners drive like Italians
It scares the crap out of people who do not understand the protocols, but it is an efficient system when you have many cars and small, congested roads. You either get with the program, or else!

4. State-by-state scores on driving test
These are the average scores for each state on the GMAC Insurance National Driver's Test.
Nation -- 82.7

1. Oregon -- 89.4

2. Washington -- 88.4

3. Iowa -- 87.7

4. Idaho -- 87.5

5. Wyoming -- 87.4

I learned to drive in Iowa, so does that mean that I am a better driver than the drivers from the eastern part of the country?

IMO: YES! My Experience is that is true also.

5. Oregonians are actually the WORST
Edited on Fri May-27-05 11:24 AM by ZombyWoof
I lived in WA for many years, and whenever I see an Oregon plate I tremble. Anywhere in the country I see one, Oregon plates accompany the WORST drivers. They elevate passive-aggressiveness and inattentiveness to art forms.

6. This is based on the written test?
I can remember so many kids in school who got C's but were smarter than the ones who got A'a in written tests. I scored I believe a 79 on mine way back when. I have never been in an accident, or had any kind of ticket. Not saying I am smarter than other people, just that the written test does not indicate what kind of a driver a person will make on the road. You could pass it with flying colors and still be a bad driver on the road.

7. Odd
Vermont, which is a NE state did among the best but the rest of the NE did poorly.

Virginia did better than Maryland or D.C. but not as good as West Virginia!
