7. Jeter made an incredible catch tonight
one of the best i've ever seen ...

one of the Tigers hit a pop fly to short centerfield ... both Jeter and Cano went for the ball ... both were trying for over-the-shoulder catches ... Jeter collided with Cano from behind and still made the catch ...

you'll be seeing this one on the highlight films ...

3. That division will go to Baltimore
All the wailing and whining by both Yankees and Sox fans will fade away into oblivion...

Meanwhile, in the more important NL West, my team LA is slumping with poor pitching, but my boys in hometown San Diego are holding on, and should take care of the Dumb-backs again tonight.

4. in your dreams
Wang, Cano, are the faces of the new Yankees. And they are going to lead the team of the top.

6. The Yankees are bad for baseball
It's like rooting for Donald Rumsfeld or General Motors. The Ultimate Overdogs. The Sith Lords of Baseball.

Their rotting corporate stench befouls the great game of baseball.

You read it here first: They will not even get a wildcard. My assessment about Baltimore is objective, since I am indifferent about them.

10. The Mariners are my AL team
And I am not happy about Baltimore beating them in the current series, BUT as proof of my objectivity, I commend them for playing good ball this season.

And hey, if they keep both NY and Boston out of the race, more power to 'em. I could stand not having those endless and boring flame wars.

My late great-uncle used to live in Baltimore many years ago, and somewhere I have a pic of me as a very young lad in an Oriole cap (circa 1970) I should post.

11. I agree with you on keeping Boston, NY out of the finals
Edited on Wed May-25-05 10:39 PM by Zuni
although, I would be behind Boston because the Yankees are satanic baby killers if worst came to worst:P

In your post before, you said the Yankee management is too corporate---worst thing about the Orioles is their ownership---Peter Angelos is the next george Steinbrenner, a real Major League SOB

Good luck to Seattle--I have no beef with them. It is the Yanks that I despise. Pretty funny also how the NL team from Queens the Mets kicked the Bronx Yankees ass in the interleague---intercity game on Saturday

13. no doubt
I was HEAVILY in favor of Boston over the shithole Yankees last year. Or any year.

Steinbrenner... will live in infamy for illegal campaign contributions to NIXON in 1972. That is so wrong on so many levels. No doubt in my mind he has a boner for Chimpy. So does Jeter and Payrod too.

8. And what much loved team is running the AL East?
Answer: Baltimore. The bird is much feared this year. Boston, NY--a joke.
