OMG, i am so bored.
i am at work and have nothing that important to work on and if i finish everything i have in my office then i will have nothing for later. a lot of my work was given away when i was out for a week after hand surgery. now i am low on billable time and my productivity is going to go below 85% for the year and i am going to get gripped at during my evaluation. oh well. i will just remind them they gave my crap away.

1. What was wrong with your hand?
That is if you want to talk.

6. Does that hurt much or is it just uncomfortable?
I know of this affliction but not much about the symptoms.

7. the carpel tunnel problems themselves
were very annoying. i didn't ever get real pain like some do. my hands would mostly go to sleep all the time and i dropped things a lot.

for me, the surgery and after were basically pain free. my wrist hurt the next morning because i had been pinching my fingers together in my sleep. the worst part was having my hand wrapped and not being able to use my fingers for 10 days.

the incision is bothering me more now. after the stitches came out thursday, it started bleeding and pulling a lot at the bottom. i am still wearing bandaids because it still "weeps". i am going to get some steri strips or butterfly bandages after work to try and hold the incision together better to avert pain and a bad scar.

i plan on having the left hand done in september

9. about an inch
it starts at the very base of my palm and goes up. i just took the bandaids off to look and put on more neosporin and the bottom seems to have closed again. whew.

10. Ouch!
That's a rather delicate place to have an injury (all the movement and such). I hope everything improves soon.

The worst injury I ever had which required stitches came as a result of tripping on a flight of stairs. I was rather young and over-confident and I usually bounded up these stairs everyday. Well, I tripped, landed on my chin and bit my lower lip all the way through. I don't recall how many stitches were involved, but I still have a piece of concrete embedded in my chin from the fall. I leave it there as a reminder of the stupid things I have done which will result in injuries. Besides, I'm too creeped-out by medical procedures (needles and such) to have it taken out.

11. i had never had stitches or surgery of any kind before
and i was very nervous but everything was fine. now i did NOT like have the stitches taken out. i kept saying "HEY" and "Ho Boy" and stuff with each one. i bet the doctor was thinking "why don't you shut the f**k up you big baby."

12. Well, if it hurts, it hurts!
Let them know it. There's nothing wrong with that.

It's been nice conversing with you, but it is suppertime here on the east coast, so I need to start cooking. Maybe we'll run into each other again. I hope you feel better soon.

Cheers!

5. we have too many staff accountants right now
and the newer ones don't have anything to do so the seniors keep raiding offices to find them work.

i wouldn't be busy now but i wouldn't be so damned bored either.

also, my best friend here is on vacation and i miss her. no one to bitch too.
