The first time I saw Amber Frey (wow how about THAT for a reason to be famous) I thought man Donna on the "West Wing" generally looks like her.... I hope she doesn't take that leap and do a TV movie. Well she is or has it will be on Wednesday night.

So, what do you think of that? Is she risking pigeonholing herself with the "born to play" role?

1. I saw the commercial the other day
I can't believe she's playing Amber Frey. Isn't WW paying her well enough?

2. And Amber Frey is...?
Oh, I see.. this is related to the Laci Petersen story. No wonder I didn't know. I avoided that "news" like the plague.

4. She does look like her
but to go from West Wing to...well, basically televised National Enquirer...ugh, what a step down. I love Janel, but I'm not watching that. Bad career move, IMO.

6. I don't think playing Amber Frey is a bad career move at all
She was a gutsy lady as far as I am concerned. And a lot of people who don't watch WW will watch this. I think it will help her get even more roles. WW isn't going to last forever.

Mark Harmon played Ted Bundy, and it didn't seem to hurt him any!

7. I disagree
The entire Pederson nightmare was tabloid trash TV. To me, it's like playing Amy Fisher or Tanya Harding. I mean, seriously...the mistress of a man who murdered his wife and baby? Bad idea, imo.

8. Yeah, but the real Amber didn't know that when she first met him.
She turned him in when she found out who he was.

10. That's true,
but something tells me the movie won't be a great piece of television. It's far more likely to be tabloid crap. Of course, I hate made-for-TV movies in general, particularly those that focus on a minor character in a media circus.

11. Now THAT is true.
I predict it will be a major suck-fest as well.

9. No its not like that at all
Amber did nothing wrong. She got involved with a man who turned out to be married and a psychopath and she helped the police bring him to justice at great personal risk to herself and her child.
