1. Set up account at DU with screenname with innocuous name like "Bushbashrrr" or something.

2. Get a few posts under your belt, then chortle and drool about it with your retard cohorts at whatever sewer you usually post in.

3. Post some completely ridiculous thing like "I'm very proud that I had 12 abortions!" or a graphic like the recent ribbon that said "I f*** the troops' wives" and get your worthless ass banned.

4. Go back to your sewer, link to the thread, accuse all or most DUers of thinking and posting crap like that, even though 99% of it is posted by RW trolls like YOU.

5. Chuckle, snort and drool some more at your own ingenuity.

6. Repeat.

3. Well, yes, that's one type.

There are also those that like to come up with user names that seem like babble when read left to right, but say something like imafreeper when read right to left.

Then there are those who post about a million little innocent sounding posts in different areas of DU to get the post count up. Then when they bore of the game, they decide to go down in a blaze of ignominy. LOL! Those are ALWAYS fun to watch!

There are also trolls who go right up to the line of alertable-ness but don't QUITE cross it. Alert should still be used, in my opinion, on anything alertable, they can't help but post a few alertables. Then the mods have a better idea of their pattern of behavior and can eventually present them with a concrete pizza.

I figure a board like this is bound to get troll posts and I don't pay much attention to them.

What I find really absurd is the conservative blogs which use absurd posts as reason to attack liberals. They might be plants from trolls, or they might even be real. There are bound to be a handful of people who are a bit too far out in left field.

Some bloggers will take an isolated post here, or a diary on a site like Kos, and quote them as if they are representative of current mainstream liberal thought.

It's an easy way to write an attack, but not very meaningful.

I often come across really strange things on conservative blogs, and I'm sure I could find far worse if I dug through Free Republic (a misnamed site if I've ever seen one). I could play their game and enter a post making fun of it on one of the blogs where I write, but I wouldn't bother. If there is a bizarre statement from someone who is significant in the conservative movement or Republican Party I might quote it and debunk it. If it is just a lone blogger or poster, it doesn't mean much to quote a ridiculous statement.
