Why did NBC cancel American Dreams?

It was such a good show with a lot of storylines. Was it due to Dick Clark's health, too expensive (reality shows are sooo cheap), ratings, or what?

1. I loved that show

I will really miss it. I wasn't too upset that they moved it to Wednesday nights right before West Wing. Now they're moving that.

NBC better quit screwing with me. I had 4 shows that I watch and they're all on NBC. Now one is gone and they're trying to put WW out to pasture. They are seriously trying to drive me away.

I shall miss Meg and the rest of the Pryor family.
