I have red hair and when I was a kid they called me "Opie"

and when i was a kid they said i had dog food on my face. seems silly now but it sucked then.

4. whatever the kids did,

in the grown up world, everybody loves redheads. my mom was a redhead, like her mom. she kept her fingers crossed, watching her babies hair come in, wanting a redhead baby, too. she was 0 for 7. we all did the same, watching our babies. she did get some redheaded grandkids. i have one that drove me crazy with that. in some light that peachfuzz looked red, in others not. it came in just a nice, pretty, warm brown. it wasn't until she got to be a teenager, and started dying her hair pink and purple, for which she had to bleach it, that we realized it really is red, it is just so dark it looks brown. a little bit of lightening and it is carrot red.
the ginger gene is cool. that's why kids make fun of it, jealous.

Well... I was. Currently, my hair color is the last color I paid for. But, I am a natural-born red/aubrun!
