1. My dad and my brother and eight of my father's friends saw
a UFO one night.

I was seven years old and too scared to look at it.

According to all of those guys in the yard of our house, it was a string of colored balls, circling and hovering, which then shot off into the distance.

Whoopty shit. I still think UFO's are bullshit, though.

3. I've seen speaking in tongues before
I have know idea how that happens. My own dad has done it. I later came to think of it as a hoax. We went to one of those little southern baptist churches with a small congregation. The only people I saw speak in tongues were the preacher and my dad who was an assistant to the preacher. They say this is evidence of the holy spirit speaking through someone. But my dad was a hypocrite and a liar who constantly berated his wife. If there is such a thing as a holy spirit then I would think that it would choose someone who was nicer to speak through.

11. I've seen it many times, too.
As an outsider, the best scientific explanation I could find was "mass hysteria." But I certainly respect fundamentalists' right to interpret their own religious experience differently that I (as an outsider) interpret it.

6. I lived in a haunted house
It still is, according to my parents and nephew (who lives there).
Actually, I have had too many experiences to tell on here.

10. I've seen a few things when completely sober.....that made me wonder.
Ghostly sightings in a 1750 house, a friends Downs syndrome son talking to am unseen female in a house adjacent to this one. Disappearing images of soldiers in a Revolutionary War encampment. A physic telling me about women sewing clothes at a location, and then finding needles there over 200 yrs old. She never was there before or even visited, she came from New Mexico.

12. I am from NY as well...and I found Sleepy Hollow to be
worthy of the legend. It's called Tarrytown now though, right?

I have vivid dreams where I'm watching a group of redcoats standing around in the snow...
