This whole broo-ha-ha has made me wistful. :(

I've come to depend on the Lounge for a lot of stuff... it's a place of mirth and merriment, when things are tough out there. People here have helped each other through a lot in here -- deaths, divorces, the trials of life -- by not only showing compassion, but sometimes by just making a goddamn poop joke when it was needed.

When stuff gets ugly and dragged through here... I dunno. It's like when some kid gets killed in a park. It changes the place, and it takes a lot of work to make people happy there again. Sure, new folks move to town and have no idea, but there will always be those who remember how something beautiful lost some shine once.

So in that vein, my favorite Lounge memory is... Oscar. God, that was so funny. Surely someone has that first Oscar thread stashed somewhere.

17. Halloween night a couple years ago

when a significant majority of us were acting like freepers. The threads were fucking hilarious!!

I'm pretty sure that was 2002. It started with just a couple of us, and then got out of control.
